The idea of having an emergency fund for bikers originated in Colorado by Karen Mitchell. She founded the original Colorado Biker’s Emergency Fund and was their president for a number of years. Her goal was to assist bikers, who go down for whatever reason and get them some quick cash in their hands to help with medical expenses, funeral expenses, or help with paying bills while you are out of work or whatever the case may be. Chuck Tapp was one of the original members of that fund when he lived in Colorado before moving to Kansas. Chuck liked Karen’s idea of trying to help our own in times of need and decided to organize a Kansas chapter of an emergency biker’s fund.
This is a state wide organization and there will be several membership runs all over the state to spread the word and gain members. Everyone is welcome to join the organization and go on the membership drives.
