Meeting Minutes from 05 February 2007
The 23rd meeting was called to order by Rodney Rulon at 7:00pm at the Jobsite Bar and Grill on 05 February 2007. The following individuals were present at the meeting: Rodney Rulon, Andrew Musto, Rich Riggs, Jeff Lewis, John Petzold, Kelly Cerrillo, Mendy King and Robert Dostal.

OLD BUSINESS: The first order is to inform the board of the banking business that was completed this month. Rodney will have to go to the bank with both Andy and Jeff in order to get on the signature card. Next order was discussing corporate sponsors events, no one has had a chance to get with any of their corporate sponsors this month. The next order was membership/Corporate Sponsorship fees for February: Jeff Lewis renewed his Corporate Sponsorship as well as Jeanene Lewis and Janelle Totten’s memberships. The next order was to inform the board that the event at the Tumbleweed has changed to the 10th of February 2007 due to scheduling problems with the band and let everyone know that KBEF members will get free admission into the Tumbleweed for this event. The last order was to vote if the KBEF would like to donate the Pyrex Set to the Kimberly Rossi auction, the motion was made, seconded and passed.. Rich will ensure the set gets to the auction.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Jeff Lewis informed the board there was $8372.92 in the fund. He also informed the board that $91.42 was made last month on the Pizza Buffet. And last he informed the board about a different type of banking account that could earn up to 1.98% interest, which will be discussed more at the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: The first order of new business was to discuss membership and corporate sponsors dues. Rodney and Rich have not had a chance to talk to Mark Smith, Mike Emberton or Gary Simpson to see if any of them which to remain members and/or corporate sponsors. Jack Messer of Gardner became a Corporate Sponsor/Member as did Kelly Cerrillo of JR’s Place in Olathe. Also Cary Guild and Robert Dostal became new members. The only members that have membership fees due in March are Mendy King and John Petzold and they were both informed. Next order was a motion made to deduct the Jobsites pizza donation from the cost of his Corporate Sponsor dues, Motion was not seconded and did not pass. Next was a motion made to donate a KBEF T-Shirt to all Corporate Sponsors: motion was seconded and passed. Next, Rich wants the Corporate Sponsorship application form posted on the KBEF website, Andy will take care of this. Rich wants to know if KBEF will consider a discount membership for any Patriot Guard Rider, this was tabled. Jeff wants to know if the KBEF site is getting any hits from Spikes website, Andy will handle this. Rodney wants to change the meeting time, at least during winter months to Saturdays, as trial March’s meeting will be on a Saturday. Rodney wants to change the Bylaws Article XII on where the monies would go in the event the KBEF goes defunct, this was tabled. Andy wants the Corporate Sponsorship banner updated by the 10th of February 2007, the changes were discussed and decided on and the banner was taken down and Andy will have it updated.

Rodney Rulon made a motion to adjourn the meeting, motion was seconded and meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm

The next meeting will be conducted at the Jobsite Bar and Grill in Olathe at 10:00 am. on 3 March 2007. (Saturday)
