The 40th meeting was called to order by Rodney Rulon at 7:05 pm at the Jobsite Bar and Grill on 7 August 2008. The following individuals were present at the meeting: Rodney Rulon, Chuck Tapp, Lynn Tapp, Larry Henry and Andy Musto.
OLD BUSINESS: First item discussed the status of KBEF License plates being ordered. – Andy provided Josh with the credit card number and Josh will order the plates in a couple of days.
Second item discussed was how are we going to assist Whole Lot of Wings and Things on their run on the 23rd of August. Rodney will check with them this week and see if they would like the KBEF to provide parking lot security and then we would donate the money back to the event. More to come of this as Rodney gets the information.
Third item discussed was does Whole Lot of Wings & Things have their Corporate Sponsor Certificate yet? Although the certificate was sent to Rodney for printing his computer is down. Andy will inform Josh to print the certificate and get it to Rodney or deliver it to the sponsor himself.
Fourth item discussed was which corporate sponsors do we still owe a ride to this year.
Gringos, Wally’s, Whole Lot of Wings & Things & Cecil Mondays (we need to start working on ideas of what we are going to do for these sponsors or we will lose them)
TREASURER’S REPORT: Andy presented the treasurers report. There is $13,946.92 in the fund. This amount includes the renewal of Rich Riggs and Andy Musto and $3.00 from the sell of coozie cups.
NEW BUSINESS: - First item was to discussed memberships and corporate sponsors. No new members or Corporate Sponsors.
- Second item discussed are the members that have renewal fees due or coming due are: Jessica Freeman, Chuck Tapp, Steve Kolbeck, Teri Hodges, Damen Bird, Grant Lasitor, Scott Robison, Lynn Tapp, Kennith Nave, Richard Foster, Lance Wipf and Wally Borth. Chuck indicated he would renew his & Lynn’s memberships before next meeting.
- Third item discussed was to get with Jenny Moses & start building 2008 Photo Gallery on the website. Jenny has already begun working on 2008 Gallery using pictures from Texas Holdem event & SIDs Run. If anyone has any pictures for 2008 please email them to Andy or Jenny.
- Fourth item discussed was the KBEF was mentioned in the A.B.A.T.E of Kansas, Inc’s Prairie Perennial June 2008 volume 34 issue 6 paper on page 7 for our part in the District 5 swap meet.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting, motion was seconded and meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm. The next meeting will be conducted at the JT’s at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th of September 2008. (Monday night)
